Choose Your Blog Event:

To qualify, events must fit the criteria of the category defined below and be hosted on your own blog. Companies that would like to promote their events should contact Chic Chick Media. Tip Junkie reserves the right to delete inappropriate listings or those that do not follow these guidelines.

Add a Contest or Swap

  • Blog Carnival - hosted on 1 blog but giving away mulitiple items over several days.
  • Contest - a themed challenge hosted on 1 blog with a fun prize for the winner.
  • Blog Hop - a collective group unite for themed posts and then link to the next particpating blog. (not MckLinky blog hops; those go in Link Up category)
  • Swaps - hosted by 1 blog with many participatants who agree to ship a themed package to an assigned blogger. For example, see the TJ Trade Secrets Swap which is held every July.

Add a Link Up - Blog posts that allow readers to link their related posts which give their readers extra expoure from the traffic coming to their blog using Mister Linky or MckLinky.

Add a Meet Up - Event must end within 30 days of deadline registration. Please use "Registration" or "RSVP" in your event title so as not to be confused with the dates of the event itself. For example, "ABC Conference Registration", or "XYZ Blog Party RSVP".

  • Blog Parties
  • Meet & Greets - home parties, blog parties, book signings, other events where bloggers can gather to meet each other.
    (not to be confused with company sponsored meet ups; those go in Promo Party category)

Add a Promo Party - Promotional parties on blogs or in person for corporations or companies hosted by bloggers.

Add a Twittter Party - a social party using Twitter. Most Twitter parties have one or more expert panelist and the conversation is usually centered around a specific topic.

Add a Weekly Theme - Hosted by 1 blogger who has gathered tutorials or informative posts centered around a specific topic for the week. Readers can expect at least 5 days of posts and possible giveaways centered around this theme. For example, "Baby Shower Week". (Not to be confused with ongoing daily themes, such as Teach Me Thursday.)
